Hanoi jumped six places from last year ahead of the National Day holiday (September 2). Hanoi’s increased appeal was noted across all tourist groups. This year’s National Day holiday will last four days, with major events in Hanoi expected to attract a great number of domestic and international visitors to the capital.

In May, Agoda predicted that Hanoi would be the “epicenter” of a tourism boom during the National Day holiday. According to Agoda, searches for accommodations in Hanoi surged 4,418% compared to the same period last year.

Agoda’s data shows a significant rise in travel interest overall, with search volumes up 104% year-on-year. Domestic travel saw a remarkable 135% increase, while international searches grew 72%.
