Tran Thi Phuong Lan, acting director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said there are 25,000 businesses operating in the logistics sector in Hanoi. These firms only meet about 25% of Hanoi’s logistics needs, and the rest is handled by foreign enterprises, she said.

The Department hopes that the Association will serve as a bridge between the city government and the logistics sector and give advise for the development of logistics activities and logistics service providers to contribute to socio-economic development.
