(VOVworld)- Opening on the 6^th day of the first lunar month, the Huong (Perfume) pagoda festival is one of the biggest spring festivals in the north. According to the Organizing Board of the festival, a new transport system leading to the Huong pagoda has been built helping to ease traffic congestions during the festival. In addition, the Organizing Board said the number of boats will increase and more attention will be paid to ensure safety for boat users. On the opening day of the festival, a poetry night, a photo exhibition and a ceremony to welcome the Goddess of Mercy will be held.
