(VOVworld)- Hanoi has celebrated the success of the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132). Attending the event were National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, IPU President Saber Chowdhury, the IPU Secretariat, and others.
Nguyen The Thao, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee, said the success of the Assembly is a political highlight that not only creates an impetus for parliamentary collaboration and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and the world, but also an opportunity for Vietnam to demonstrate its renewal progress and boost trade and investment cooperation. IPU President Saber Chowdhury said he was honored to visit Hanoi and that the success of IPU-132 expands partnership among IPU members.
