Hai Duong has 9,700 hectares of litchis, mostly in Thanh Ha district and Chi Linh city. This year's total litchi output is expected to be 45,000 tons, of which 1,500 tons will be exported to Europe, the US, Australia, Japan, and Singapore.

Hoang Trung, Head of the Plant Protection Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, said: “This year, localities and the Ministry have agreed to reserve quality litchis for export. We’ve checked the litchi growing areas, and all of them meet the most stringent standards of Japan and other demanding markets.”
