Attractions on Ha Long Bay on Friday returned to normal operation, welcoming 198 ships carrying about 5,500 visitors to Ha Long Bay. Quang Ninh also launched a cleanup campaign of Ha Long Bay in three days to welcome back tourists.
Tran Van Hong, Chairman of Ha Long Cruise Ship Association, said: “Cruise ship business has resumed. Some damaged ships are undergoing urgent repairs. In the past few days, business owners have also proactively fixed the problem, ensuring equipment, aesthetics and absolute safety for tourists. Like today, it must also reach 50% of ship operating capacity.”

According to a report from the Department of Transport, Typhoon Yagi sank 27 cruise ships and four transport vehicles. Quang Ninh now has 315 of the total 359 ships ready for re-operation.
