Thanh led a delegation on a 3-day trip to Ha Giang province over the weekend to monitor the local authorities’ response to typhoon Rammasun. He urged the local authorities to prioritize land allocation for resettling local residents. Ha Giang received heavy rains from July 19 to 22 caused by typhoon Rammasun, which caused flooding in the Lo river, killing 8 people and causing an economic loss of around 19 million USD. The delegation visited and presented gifts to families who suffered heavy losses from the typhoon.
