Director of the Ha Giang Provincial Department of Information and Communication, Do Xuan Hoa, told a press conference on Wednesday that this is the first time the Media Festival has been held in the province which will discuss creative, effective ways to communicate, to connect state media and public media, and to build mechanisms to effectively promote Ha Giang’s image. It will also contribute to socio-economic development goals and improve ethnic people’s living conditions.

Mr. Hoa said: “The 2023 Ha Giang Media Festival and other major events aim to introduce Ha Giang’s land and people to visitors from inside and outside the province as well as foreign visitors. The provincial development orientation has identified tourism as a key economic sector with culture as the foundation. The Ha Giang Cultural Conference and events in October will promote the image of Ha Giang, its trademarks, tourism, and investment attraction.”

The Ha Giang Cultural Conference will take place on Saturday with the participation of 250 delegates from multiple sectors. The conference will evaluate the province’s outstanding results in the development of culture and the people and identify opportunities, challenges, and emerging problems. This will allow them to propose key solutions in the coming time.

The ceremony to receive its 3rd membership in the UNESCO Global Geopark Network for Dong Van Karst Plateau and the 9th Buckwheat Flower Festival will take place on Saturday.
