According to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), Greece’s GDP increase 0.8 per cent from April to June, defying a forecast that it would decrease 0.8 per cent. Greek production in this year’s first quarter held steady, despite a forecast of a 0.2-per-cent decline. Analysts said the tourism sector has played a key role in boosting Greece’s growth.
