Tammy Phan, Head of Channel Sales in Vietnam at Google Asia-Pacific, said, “The COVID-19 pandemic has had severe impacts on the retail industry. The number of shoppers at shopping malls dropped 52%, a huge loss for retailers. So Google is collaborating with VECOM and other partners to provide the necessary knowledge and techniques for e-commerce. We will help participants optimize digital tools to reach customers and develop business effectively.”
VECOM Chairman Nguyen Thanh Hung said Vietnam’s e-commerce grew 15% last year, generating over 13 billion USD. It is expected to keep growing this year and until 2025, a golden opportunity for retailers.
