Chancellor Angela Merkel and US President Donald Trump will meet ahead of the G20 summit (AFP)

Merkel told a news conference on Monday she doesn’t think they will have identical positions on all issues at the end but it's sensible and honest to talk to each other about all issues of international diplomacy. According to Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert, Ms Merkel and US President Donald Trump plan to meet Thursday ahead of the G20 summit.
