During the meeting, the provincial party officials reported to the Party Politbureau a proposal on the development of Khanh Hoa province until 2020. The provincial people’s committee chairman Nguyen Chien Thang said that the province aims to build up a central level city by 2020 and become a regional hub in the central coastal area. The province targets an economic growth rate of upto 13% by 2015. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized the importance of the proposal and called for more research to ensure its feasibility and consensus.
