General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Vietnam’s Party, State, Army, and people deeply value the significant support provided by China’s Party, State, Army, and people throughout historical periods and praised the positive and remarkable progress in the relationship between the two Parties, States, and armies.
The General Secretary proposed that the Ministries of National Defense and the armed forces of both countries enhance exchanges and meetings at all levels, effectively utilize existing mechanisms, explore new areas for potential cooperation, expand cooperation in political and ideological education, personnel training, and strengthen border cooperation while addressing maritime disagreements in line with high-level common perceptions and international law.
Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun reaffirmed that China places great importance on the traditional friendship between the two Parties, States, and armies.
He expressed the Chinese People's Liberation Army's readiness to fully implement high-level common perceptions and work alongside the Vietnam People's Army to advance substantive and comprehensive cooperation to contribute to building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance.
