Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said the ceasefire will include the release of some hostages and a number of detained Palestinians and the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza without restrictions or conditions.

According to a Palestinian source, a high-level Hamas delegation, led by Khalil Al-Hayya, arrived in Egypt and is expected to meet on Wednesday with Egyptian officials regarding the ceasefire. The Gaza ceasefire talks have resumed amid Israeli plans to expand military operations in Gaza City and a worsening famine.

In related news, Australia and 28 other countries, including Japan, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, and the UK, issued a joint statement on Tuesday calling on Israel to allow non-governmental organizations to deliver aid to Gaza and to remove all barriers to NGO operations there.

The statement stressed the need for immediate, long-term, and concrete measures to ensure that UN agencies and NGOs can safely and extensively access the area. It urged Israel to allow all crossings and routes to be used for a flood of aid into Gaza, including food, shelters, fuel, clean water, medicines, and medical equipment.
