According to the French President’s office, Macron also asked China to develop a more constructive approach by removing coercive measures against EU member states and European Parliament members. He encouraged Xi to increase China’s efforts to address the climate crisis and make concrete progress toward ending China's reliance on coal.

The two leaders agreed to maintain close contact to boost ongoing collaboration projects in strategic fields.
