"We have decided to co-chair a conference for the two states in June next year," Macron told reporters on Tuesday during his state visit to Saudi Arabia, adding that in the coming months, they will multiply and combine their “diplomatic initiatives to bring everyone along this path.”
The announcement came as the UN General Assembly on Tuesday adopted a resolution calling to organize a similar high-level conference in June.
Responding to a question on whether France would recognize a Palestinian state, the French president said he would do so "at the right moment" and at a time "when it triggers reciprocal movements of recognition."
