French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday pledged more military aid to Ukraine, emphasizing that the EU needs to maintain unity in supporting the Kyiv government.

At a press conference following a meeting with Polish and German leaders, Macron said France has stepped up its delivery of ammunition, weapons, and armed vehicles to Ukraine. France wants Ukraine’s counteroffensive to be as successful as possible to improve its negotiating position, Macron said.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz pledged ongoing provision to Ukraine of tanks, artillery, and air defense systems.

Polish President Andrzej Duda called on NATO to send a strong message about Ukraine's NATO membership aspirations, which will be discussed at the next summit.

Established in 1991, the Weimar Triangle Summit sought to reinforce relations between Eastern and Western Europe following the Cold War. It remains a key forum for dialogue between France, Germany, and Poland.
