Delegates said localities should adopt specific policies and action plans to promote heritages while ensuring the harmony between cultural heritage conservation and tourism development.

Ha Van Sieu, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, stressed the need to assess the capacity of the heritage to have a harmonious development orientation.

"We should work on the principle of respecting the heritage for sustainable development. Responsible and sustainable tourism development is based on factors including resources, culture, and society development,” he said.
