(VOVworld) – Hanoi has honored 12 foreigners, including 3 Russians, with the noble title “The honorary Citizen of the Capital City” as part of activities to mark the city’s 60th anniversary of liberation day on Friday, October 10th. In an interview granted to VOV upon receiving the title, Evgeny Glazunov, who has been the President of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Organization for 16 years, said Hanoi has always been his second home. He said through his many business trips to Hanoi, he has witnessed Hanoi’s development into today’s beautiful capital city without losing the historical uniqueness of a thousand year-old city. Glazunov expressed his great honor to receive the title “The honorary Citizen of the Capital City”.
