(VOVworld) - The Extraordinary Chambers of the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) has called former Khmer Rouge jailer Kaing Guek Eav, alias “Duch,” as a witness against defendants Nuon Chea, Ieng Sary, and Khieu Samphan. Duch, who was previously sentenced to life imprisonment, will give testimony on activities and relationships in the old Democratic Kampuchea regime, and the roles of the defendants under the regime.

Court spokesman Neth Pheaktra said on Wednesday that judges will question Duch next month.
