COVID-19 has taken a heavy toll around the world, including within the two countries, he said in a statement on Wednesday. Many Lao newspapers front-paged articles highlighting Vietnam’s National Day. They emphasized the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the determination of the people in overcoming challenges to safeguard independence and freedom and contribute to peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and the world.
The Pathetlao Daily spotlighted the contributions of generations of Vietnamese and Lao leaders, particularly President HCM, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Souphanouvong, to laying the solid foundation for the special solidarity between the two countries.
