A gong performance at the competition

The 3-day competition will involve gong performances and traditional sports  events, where art troupes will recreate traditional rituals and festivals, and demonstrate ethnic gong tunes.

A Liem, an artisan from Tu Mo Rong district, said, “I’m very excited and looking forward to performing at the competition to introduce the traditional culture of the Xo Dang people. I’ll also learn about the cultures of other ethnic groups.”

Ten art troupes with about 800 artisans from 5 ethnic groups – Xo Dang, Ba Na, Gie-Trieng, Gia Rai, and Thai – will be participating this year.
