(VOVworld) - The Japan Desk, under the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) of the Ministry of Planning and Investment made its debut on Friday to support Japanese businesses to learn about investment opportunities in Vietnam.

At a ceremony to introduce the desk Hanoi on Friday, Do Nhat Hoang, FIA Director said: “We will update Japanese businesses with information about Vietnam’s policies, investment environment and its business partners. We also support them in their contacts as well as connections with Ministries, sectors and localities in Vietnam. Japanese investors will be helped to access Vietnamese enterprises, investors and infrastructure companies, so that they can make the right decisions”.
At present, Japan ranks fourth, with total newly-registered capital and increased capital of US$1.66 billion making up 12.1% of the total foreign investment capital in Vietnam.
