“We hope female NA deputies will always support the government in realizing strategies and solutions for national development as well as play a greater role in enforcing the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Children, and related laws," said Mr. Phuc.

He added: "Female NA deputies should be more active in recommending policies and measures to oversee the enforcement of laws and policies in healthcare, education, environment, food safety and hygiene and to ensure the rights of women and children. Efforts should be made to promote a mechanism to monitor, analyze, and check issues which female deputies have a better understanding of and pay more attention to, like safety for women and children.”
