FDI in Vietnam in 10 months rises nearly 15%

(VOVWORLD) - Registered Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Vietnam hit more than 25.7 billion USD in the past 10 months, up 14.7% from the same period last year, according to the Foreign Investment Agency.

The processing and manufacturing industries attracted the largest amounts of FDI, followed by the real estate, finance and banking, wholesale and retail sectors.

Singapore topped the list of foreign investors with more than 4.6 billion USD. South Korea came second and Hong Kong (China) third. 

Quang Ninh emerged as the top destination for foreign investment in the January-October period thanks to two new projects worth a total of 3 billion USD. It was followed by Hai Phong city, Hanoi, HCM city, and Bac Giang province.
