(VOVworld) – 400 documentary photos are on display at an exhibition that opened in Thua Thien Hue province on Tuesday as part of activities to assert Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. The photos are divided into 5 topics: Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam, the power of Vietnam’s Navy, the struggle to protect national sea and islands sovereignty, the whole nation turns towards Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, and Fishermen’s contributions to protecting Hoang Sa, Truong Sa, as well as declarations asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty.

Another exhibit displaying 100 old maps and archives, donated by individuals and organizations in Vietnam and around the world, opened in Dong Nai province on Tuesday. Among them is a complete royal geographical map of National subdivisions published by the Qing dynasty in 1904 and a map of the Vietnamese Empire drawn by Jean Louis Taberd in 1838, all confirming that Truong Sa and Hoang Sa belonged to Vietnam.
