Hungary will deploy an unspecified number of troops near its border with Ukraine, for both security purposes and humanitarian tasks.

Germany is ready to send more troops to Lithuania, a NATO member, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said Tuesday in response to decrees signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin recognizing the two self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine.

Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said that NATO's "Cold Response" military exercises will take place in the second half of March in Norway as previously announced.
