EU sends 12 tons of protective clothing to China amid coronavirus

(VOVWORLD) - In the fight against the corona virus, the European Union has delivered twelve tons of protective clothing to China. According to the EU Commission, the People's Republic asked for it.

Brussels had contacted the EU countries. These gathered the twelve tons of protective clothing that were already on their way to China.

The German government delivered 10,000 protective suits to the Chinese city of Wuhan and Hubei.

The novel coronavirus outbreak has killed a further 45 people in China and infected 2,590 more, the Chinese National Health Commission in Beijing announced on Saturday. The results bring the number of cases in China to more than 14,000 and the total death toll to 304. A total of 328 patients infected with the novel coronavirus had been discharged from hospital after recovery by the end of Saturday.

The US, Singapore, Japan, and Australia have applied travel ban or restriction to and from China. More than 30 airlines have grounded their flights to China.
