The EC reaffirmed that enlargement remains a top strategic priority of the European Union, strengthening Europe’s global position and long-term stability.
Current priority candidates include Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Turkey, and Georgia.
EC President Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Union is determined to make enlargement a reality, a necessary step toward a stronger, more influential Europe, and that this year’s package provides detailed recommendations tailored to each partner, reaffirming the EU’s commitment to peace, prosperity, and unity for its future members.
