This sanctions regime currently applies to 14 individuals and five groups, who are subject to an asset freeze and a ban on entering EU territory.
EU persons and entities are also prohibited from providing capital, financial assets, or economic resources to individuals and organizations on the sanctions list. These restrictions are in addition to the sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council against IS and Al-Qaeda.
