The leaders met in Prague to discuss the most pressing and interlinked issues facing the bloc, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the energy crisis, and looming economic recession. The informal meeting is the first preparation for the upcoming EU summit in Brussels.
According to Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, the EU must agree on capping the price of gas used to generate electricity to reduce energy prices. This is also a view shared by many EU leaders.
