(VOVworld) – A festival to promote cultural values of the northern mountainous region is being held in Hanoi from Monday to Wednesday. The festival also celebrates Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23) and honours the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of ethnic groups.
Ethnic people from 10 provinces will recreate their unique ethnic festivals with authentic costumes and art performances.
“Vietnam’s culture is the harmonious combination of the cultures of 54 ethnic groups. The festival is a fantastic way for people in Hanoi to learn something about the culture of the northern mountainous region”, said Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
