The Co To Border Guard Station of Quang Ninh province has mobilized 100% of its personnel to take part in storm prevention efforts. Approximately 100 fishing vessels have been called to safe shelters. The Border Guard Station has thoroughly reviewed the situation to ensure that no ships or fishermen are at sea.
In Quang Ninh, authorities have imposed a sea ban starting Wednesday morning. Over 3,000 officials and soldiers and more than 100 specialized vehicles and boats have been mobilized to help minimize casualties and property damage.
Hai Phong Border Guards have directed all fishing vessels to return to safe harbors and arranged schools, government offices, and cultural centers as shelters for 3,000 households. Colonel Tran Tan, Deputy Commander of Hai Phong Border Guards, said "At present, we are maintaining full readiness. Once orders are issued, we will immediately deploy forces to assist local authorities, mobilize support, and monitor the number of vehicles entering the area. After the storm makes landfall, we will continue to reinforce our forces to maintain security and public order in the affected localities.”
Nghe An province has banned fishing boats from going to sea from 12 noon on Wednesday. All vessels currently operating must return and anchor safely before 2 p.m. Wednesday. The electricity sector has also prepared specific plans for their forces and equipment to ensure the safe operation of the transmission grid.
