(VOVworld)- Egypt’s interim Prime Minister Hazem El-Belblawy on Tuesday agreed to establish a committee to reconsider the controversial Protest Law which was approved last Sunday.

This decision was made after a meeting between El-Beblawy and members of the National Salvation Front (NSF) after clashes between security forces and crowds protesting the law. El-Belblawy pledged to investigate people arrested during Tuesday’s protest in front of the Shura Council building in Cairo. They were protesting a clause in the draft constitution allowing military courts to hear civil trials. In another development, the Muslim Brotherhood-led National Alliance Supporting Legitimacy (NASL) is planning secret meetings mediated by members of the Salafi forces to end the current political standoff between Muslim Brotherhood supporters and the government military. The NASL continues to call on Muslim Brotherhood supporters to join a protest this Friday to mark 100 days since 36 Muslim Brotherhood members were killed in front of Abu Zaabal prison last August this year.
