(VOVworld) - Egypt's interim government has shortened a night-time curfew imposed in the wake of recent violent unrest. The curfew will now begin two hours later, at 21:00 local time until 6:00 of the following day - although on Fridays, when protests usually take place, it will still start at 19:00.
The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy, which comprised of 33 pro-Morsi parties and movements, headed by the Muslim Brotherhood, on Saturday called for a new week of protests. According to analysts and observers, the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy and the Muslim Brotherhood are rallying forces for a display of power, scheduled for August 30th, with the aim of removing obstacles in current negotiations and reviving the weakening wave of protests.
