The government has ordered the security forces to protect public places and universities to avoid MB’s terrorist acts. The decision was announced one day following a suicide bomb attack targeting a police station in Mansoura city, killing 16 people and wounding over 130 others.
Although, the Al Qaeda linked group, Ansar Beit al-Magdis, claimed responsibility, the government blamed the MB for the bombing. Ibrahim Munir, a member of the group's executive council, said to declare the MB movement a terrorist organization is illegal.
