Former CIA contractor Edward Snowden, who is wanted by US law enforcement has been offered temporary asylum in Russia. According to Anatoly Kucherena, Snowden’s lawyer, all foreigners must register with the Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS) in order to get asylum in Russia. Last Thursday, Edward Snowden slipped out of Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow after receiving one-year temporary asylum. Kucherena gave no information about Snowden’s current address, but said Snowden has not yet found a job. Meanwhile, the case continues to be a thorn in Russia-US relations. The White House on Tuesday said it is considering whether President Obama will attend the Group of Twenty Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’(G20) summit or not. The G20 summit is scheduled to take place in St.Petersburg in September. The White House is also considering whether President Obama will cancel a planned summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin or not.
