The inspectors worked with the Fisheries Sub-Department on fishing boat management and administrative sanctions, and with the Department of Animal Health on controlling regulated seafood materials entering Vietnam.

According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, authorities have informed ship owners and fishermen about IUU fishing.

Since October 2018 no fishing vessel from Khanh Hoa is known to have committed any violations of foreign waters, they said.
