This is one of the EU's largest financial support packages to help maintain Ukraine's stability amid pro-longed conflicts and mounting economic pressure.

The aid package will also help Kiev restore its energy infrastructure, transport networks, ensure macro-economic stability, as Ukraine prepares to join the EU.
