The European Commission announced from Brussels on Thursday that 24.4 million euros from the EU budget would be spent on urgently needed Ebola research. The funding from the EU will be spent on five projects to help tackle the epidemic of the deadly hemorrhagic virus, including a large-scale clinical trial of a potential vaccine and the testing of existing and new compounds to treat Ebola.
In Vietnam, an Ebola drill will be carried out in Hanoi next Saturday with more drills to take place in the Central and Central Highlands region later.
