(VOVworld) – The 26th ASEAN Summit will take place in Kuala Lumpur and on Langkawi Island, Kedah state, on Sunday.

Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anifah Aman told reporters at a news conference in Kuala Lumpur on Friday that the 2-day summit is the first meeting of this year where ASEAN leaders will discuss the association’s agenda and priorities in 2015
They will prioritize the establishment of the ASEAN Community, the bloc’s post-2015 vision and a course of actions in upcoming years to heighten the bloc's position. Aman said the East Sea issue will be discussed in detail at both ministerial and head of State levels.
Threats from the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) and solutions to issues concerning Rohingya ethnic minorities in Myanmar will also be high on the agenda of the summit.
