(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has hosted a conference to disseminate regulations and legal information on activities of foreign traders in Vietnam.

Since last year, a large number of foreign traders have come to Vietnam to buy large volumes of agricultural products. This has helped increase consumption and outlet for some kinds of products. But many of them have been doing business illegally, causing market instability. The delegates put forward various measures to deal with foreign traders’ violation and the management of foreign workers in Vietnamese companies and production establishments. Vo Van Quyen, Head of the Department for Domestic Market under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, says: "The public has been concerned over a minority of foreigners, who have come to Vietnam through visiting relatives or tourism do to business illegally here. It’s necessary to confiscate their goods, impose punishments, or even expel them to ensure the better market environment."
