The 6-hour-talks on Saturday between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ended without any breakthrough. The two diplomats tried to narrow differences over how to quickly ease economic sanctions against Tehran or asking Iran to give international inspectors greater access to its military bases and scientists. The P5+1 group – the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany – said inspectors must have greater access to determine whether Iran has been developing a nuclear bomb or not. Iran insisted that its nuclear program is for peaceful purpose. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei publicly vowed to limit access to or even block international monitors from sensitive military sites and Iranian nuclear scientists in any nuclear deal with world powers. Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Head of Iran's negotiating team said the differences are still there.
