(VOVworld) – Malaysia said on Sunday that the debris discovered on France’s Reunion Island has been identified as part of a Boeing 777, the same model as Malaysian Airlines flight, MH370, which vanished last year.

Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said this debris was verified by French authorities, aircraft manufacturer Boeing, the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and a Malaysian team. Liow said the barnacled plane part was flown to Paris on Saturday and was taken to Toulouse to undergo more detailed analysis.
On Sunday, part of a plane hatch was found on a Reunion Island beach.
