India’s Hindustand Times e-paper said the agreement on holding the next meeting of the military commanders has been the only tangible outcome from a virtual meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on border affairs on June 25.
India-China tensions has escalated since last May when both sides sent thousands of more soldiers and heavy weapons to their 3,500-km border areas, where conflicts regularly occurred due to encroachment accusation. More than 20 rounds of talks have been organized, but no agreement have been reached.
