At the final night, Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said the festival is the city's branded event with eight teams from countries around the world competing. Themed "World without distance", the fireworks displays expressed the message of connection and erasing the geographical distance, so that nations and peoples come together with the desire for peace, love and hope for goodness.
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has ended, but the city's dreams and aspirations will continue to be nurtured and spread, he said.

Mr. Chinh presented the championship trophy to the French fireworks team and awarded medals, certificates and congratulatory flowers to the Italian fireworks team that finished second. 'Creativity' award went to the Polish team and the 'Audience favorite' award given to the Finnish team.
