The Hoang Su Phi terraced fields were recognized as a national relic in 2012 and are probably the best in Vietnam. The 3,000 hectares of terraces here are said to be around 300 years old; the fruit of non-stop, creative labor by the La Chi, Dao and Nung ethnic minority groups.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism officially recognized the silver carving craft of the Nung group in Hoang Su Phi as a national intangible heritage.
