(VOVworld) - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha has expressed her delight at the growing solidarity, friendship, and time-honored cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.
During a reception on Wednesday for Rolando Alfonso Borges, Head of the Ideology Commission of the Communist Party of Cuba’s Central Committee, Ha described the Cuban delegation’s visit as a significant event as it falls on the 40th anniversary of former President Fidel Castro’s visit to Vietnam. She congratulated the Cuban party and people on the initial achievements they have attained in updating Cuba’s socio-economic development model.
At the same time, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is visiting Cuba. They presented 1,000 tons of rice and 100 computers to disaster victims in Santiago de Cuba province.
