VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien receives Barbara Virginia Doval Martinez, Vice Chair of the Cuban Journalists Association

VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien made the remark at Wednesday reception in Hanoi for the Cuban Journalists Association led by Vice Chair Barbara Virginia Doval Martinez who visited Radio the Voice of Vietnam.

Mr. Tien provided an overview of the organizational structure and operations of VOV – the only multimedia agency including radio, television, printing newspaper and online newspapers in Vietnam. VOV now has two TV channels.

Vietnam and VOV journalists always value the assistance Cuba provided for the Radio during Vietnam’s struggle for liberation and independence.

Martinez expressed her hope that the Journalists’ Associations of Vietnam and Cuba and news agencies of both countries will further increase cooperation after the two associations sign a memorandum of understanding.
