Cuba, US ready to resume immigration talks - ảnh 1

This is the second meeting since 2011. The first meeting was held last July in Washington DC to discuss visa procedures for immigrants.  The talks do not necessarily represent a change in US policy toward Cuba. The Cuban delegation insists that the US government needs to lift its immigrant hearings and Cuban Adjustment Act, the main cause of illegal migration of Cuban residents to the US. Meanwhile, the US urged Cuba to free Alan Gross, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Cuba to conspiring to overthrow the government.
